Jack Brusewitz is the Senior Managing Director for Leonard Capital Markets. Leonard Capital Markets is a division of Leonard & Company, Michigan’s largest independent brokerage firm. He has over 27 years of diversified experience in financial management. Jack is responsible for developing and expanding the Public Finance Department of Leonard Capital Markets, which is the investment banking division of Leonard & Company. He is also marketing Leonard & Company to municipalities, institutions, non-profits, large pension plans, foundations and endowments throughout Michigan and the Midwest region. Prior to joining Leonard & Company, Jack served in the finance and energy services industries, most recently with Oppenheimer’s Investment Banking offices in Detroit and Birmingham, Michigan. During that period Jack worked on dozens of financing deals involving school districts, charter schools, local governments, and the state of Michigan.

In April of 2009, Jack was appointed to the Michigan Municipal Bond Authority (MMBA), Board of Trustees by Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm. The MMBA was established to provide an alternative source of financing for infrastructure projects and low cost access to the public finance market for Michigan local units of government. On March 4, 2010, Governor Granholm issued Executive Order 2010-2 to further improve efficiency in state government by consolidating 10 public finance authorities into one Michigan Finance Authority. The new authority will be an autonomous entity within the Department of Treasury. Executive Order 2010-2 took effect on May 30, 2010.

Jack is a fully registered securities representative with FINRA in series 7, 24, 52, 53, 63, 65, & 79 capacities. He also holds a Michigan Life, Accident and Health Insurance license. Jack is a member of the Bond Club of Detroit. He also served on the Board of Governors at the Renaissance Club in Detroit and as a board member of the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame. He is active in several charities throughout southeastern Michigan, including Grace Centers of Hope, which is Oakland County’s largest homeless shelter, Hospice of Michigan and the Rainbow Connection. Jack is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University.

1. Execution Services-Leonard & Company has a clearing relationship with RBC. RBC must determine the best market for a security and buy or sell so that the resulting price to the customer is as favorable as possible under prevailing market conditions. Also, Leonard & Company has established a commission recapture program.

2. Access to top Michigan Money Mangers-Leonard & Company can make introductions to the top money managers in the state of Michigan.

3. Access to Leonard Fixed Income Desk-The Leonard & Company Fixed Income Desk can assist clients with any fixed income investing or risk management. Particularly working with any clients who are currently managing any fixed income investments in-house.

4. Provide Estate Planning Seminars to participants in any pension plans and donors to any foundations or endowments.
