Prior to becoming CEO of Leonard & Company Dan worked for over 20 years as an investment banking professional. Today, as President & CEO of Leonard & Company, Dan chairs Leonard Capital Markets "Client Acceptance and Investment Committee" and assists on an as needed basis. His industry experience includes serving as Managing Director at Donnelly Penman and Partners, a full-service investment banking firm providing comprehensive financial advisory services to both public and private companies, where his primary focus was in the technology and healthcare sectors. Prior to that, Dan was Senior Vice President in the investment banking department of Raymond James & Associates, Inc. where he focused on the technology industry. Dan joined Raymond James in 1999 effective with its acquisition of Roney & Co. Dan joined Roney in 1993, and was made General Partner in 1994. While at Roney, he held the positions of Managing Director of Corporate Finance and head of the Healthcare and Technology group. Prior to that, he worked at the investment banking firm of First of Michigan Corporation for four years and specialized in mergers and acquisitions, public offerings and private placements. Dan graduated from Georgetown University with a B.A. in Finance and holds a M.B.A. degree from the University of Detroit.
